This is it - Michael Jackson Movie Review
Got a chance to check out Michael Jackson’s tribute movie the other day entitled “This is it.” The movie showed us MJ at his most powerful position, on stage, in the spotlight in front of his everlasting fans. Except in the movie there were no fans, just MJ, his entourage of dancers, and amazing instrumentalists. The movie goes to show you what kind of perfectionist Michael was, if he didn’t like how it turned out, practice practice practice til it was done right! The heavily anticipated 50 city tour which never hit the streets left behind a series of tapes consisting of run-throughs, tech reheasals, and full out performances. These tapes were edited together and made into one last memorial for the King of Pop.
MJ may not sound as commanding with his light whispering voice, but he leaves you no doubt that he was running the show, giving specific direction to dancers, instrumentalists and director Kenny Ortega. The movie showed us that there was no signs of sickness, or an artist past his prime, simply the greatest entertainer at his peak.
Overall a great tribute and definitely worth watching!
